20 years ago, the Honda Civic returned to sporty styling
Retrospection: what Bulgaria wrote 20 years ag magazin de piese auto online.

Judging by the Japanese company's studio, which was demonstrated personally by President Takeo Fukui in Geneva, behind which the main features of the future generation of the Civic model are hidden, Honda's compact class will return to the low and wide aggressive proportions of the body. With this, the unsuccessful experiment of turning the Civic into a van-like model will be terminated in time and will not cause further damage to Honda. Customers definitely did not accept the current generation of the model produced for 33 years with the Civic name, which could be very dangerous for the Japanese manufacturer - after all, Civic sales account for almost 30% of the company's turnover. Judging by the Geneva studio, the mistake is realized and will be quickly corrected - the hatchback with hidden a la Alfa Romeo handles on the rear doors returns to the low, agile silhouette and the dynamic appearance of the markedly wide body. The standard equipment of the new Civic, which is expected in European markets early next year, will include ESP (at Honda the system is called VSA) and side airbags to protect the heads from impact, and the engine range will probably also include the highly acclaimed Japanese diesel unit with a working volume of 2.2 liters, maximum power of 140 hp and maximum torque of 340 Nm.
