400,000 BGN on the German A27 motorway: a chaotic end to a Lamborghini Countach trip.
This accident is particularly painful: on the A27 motorway near Bremerhaven on Saturday, an 83-year-old man had an accident with his Lamborghini Countach - unfortunately, the rare collector's car was destroyed. According to the police, the damage is about 400,000 leva. The reason: the driver did not correctly estimate the speed of the car in front of him.
Lamborghini Countach: full throttle, hard braking
According to police, the red Lamborghini was traveling at 180 km/h in the overtaking lane – on a section with no speed limit. However, the driver of the 1980s supercar slammed on the brakes and lost control of the vehicle.
The Countach crashed into a van with a trailer, and then both cars hit the guardrail.
The 65-year-old driver of the van was slightly injured, while the driver of the Lamborghini escaped with only a scare. The Countach, however, was seriously damaged - the front and side of the car were badly crushed.
V12-classic with high value
The Lamborghini Countach is an automotive myth. Wedge-shaped shape, winged doors, V12 engine – a classic that captures the hearts of not only collectors. Prices for well-preserved examples start at around 600,000 BGN.
