An icon in a new role: Nissan LEAF returns
The all-new Nissan LEAF represents a decisive next step in the evolution of the iconic model that started it all. The new generation of the pioneering electric vehicle takes the lead in Nissan’s electrification strategy with its elegant design, significantly increased range and intuitive technologies seamlessly integrated for today’s connected driver magazin de piese auto online.

Since its debut in 2010, the Nissan LEAF has sold nearly 700,000 units worldwide, earning it a place in history as the world’s first mass-market electric vehicle. Today, Nissan is beginning a new chapter for the model, redesigned and engineered to meet the needs of today’s electric vehicle customers.
“With the all-new LEAF, we offer an electric vehicle that combines elegance, confidence and revolutionary range – wrapped in a design that is as intelligent as it is emotional,” said Arnaud Charpentier, regional vice president, marketing and mobility, Nissan AMIEO. “It brings the best of Nissan innovation to a mass-market vehicle and we are extremely excited to bring it to European roads.”
Elegant, aerodynamic design.
Created at Nissan's design studio in Atsugi, Japan, the all-new LEAF features a stylish silhouette that reflects its dynamic character and aerodynamic efficiency. With a drag coefficient of just 0.25, its sleek design optimises airflow to improve both performance and range.
Despite its compact exterior, which is ideal for city driving, parking and maneuvering in tight spaces, the all-new LEAF offers a spacious interior designed to meet the everyday needs of the modern family.
From the panoramic glass roof with auto-dimming glass to the striking 3D rear lights and premium materials, every detail of the all-new LEAF has been thoughtfully crafted. Inside, drivers will find a spacious, ergonomic interior with clean lines, improved visibility and ambient lighting that enhances the driving experience.
The all-new LEAF is available in seven expressive exterior colors, including LEAF's unique turquoise color, Luminous Teal, while interior elements are available in black or white with purple accents.
“With the new LEAF, we have introduced a new, sophisticated look at electric design – confident and modern, with a unique Nissan DNA,” said Giovanni Aroba, Vice President, Nissan Design Europe. “Its aerodynamic silhouette, distinctive lighting signature and carefully crafted interior details reflect a deep understanding of what modern European electric vehicle drivers value – not just in function, but also in form and feel.”
Go further, charge smarter.
The all-new LEAF is designed for agility and confidence in both city and highway driving. Customers can choose between two battery options, both of which deliver excellent real-world range:
*final homologation pending
With the ability to charge up to 150kW of DC fast charging, the new LEAF can travel up to 417km* on a 30-minute charge (*pending final homologation). On the highway, it provides more than 330km of range at 130km/h, and thanks to DC fast charging, journeys of over 800km can be made with minimal time difference compared to ICE cars. This impressive range, combined with a spacious interior, makes it a practical and comfortable choice for a basic family car, capable of everything from daily commutes to long-distance trips.
Equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, the all-new LEAF allows external device charging directly from the vehicle, powering a variety of small and medium-sized devices – such as kettles, portable lamps or electric grills – when camping or exploring the outdoors. Using the available accessory adapter, customers can use the V2L external charging port to conveniently power devices, accessing up to 3.6kW of power.
In the future, the new LEAF will also be available with Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, which feeds stored energy back to the grid. This feature will help customers reduce their electricity costs while supporting a more stable and sustainable energy system.
“The all-new LEAF reflects our commitment to delivering electric vehicles that exceed expectations – not only in terms of range, performance and technology, but also in how they seamlessly integrate into our customers’ everyday lives,” said Clodna Lyons, Regional Vice President, Product and Service Planning, NissanAMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania). “This evolution of our iconic brand represents the best version of itself – smarter, more connected and more capable for a new generation of drivers.”

Manufactured at Nissan's EV36Zero centre in Sunderland
The all-new LEAF will be built at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, one of the most advanced electric vehicle manufacturing centres in Europe and a key pillar of the company’s EV36Zero initiative – a zero-emission mobility project and localised electric vehicle manufacturing. As the first new model to be produced under EV36Zero, the all-new LEAF supports Nissan’s goal of creating a fully integrated electric vehicle ecosystem, powered by renewable energy and a localised battery supply chain.
Orders will begin this fall, with first deliveries scheduled for spring next year.
