The site of the plant is between a residential area, train tracks and a highway - therefore expansion is impossible. The parent concern Volkswagen is in crisis and does not plan to produce a new model at the plant in Brussels Cap planetara GSP.
Audi reports that talks are underway with a potential investor. Such talks have already been held with over 20 potential investors from the automotive industry, but so far the right concept for the employees has not been found.
