Audi closes its plant in Brussels
Audi plans to shut down production at its Brussels plant in February next year. This was announced by the management of the plant to the trade unions yesterday. No layoffs are expected until the end of this yea piese auto online.

Audi has long intended to close its Brussels plant and is discussing the situation with unions in Belgium. The management of the company plans to finish the consultations in 2 weeks.
The factory with 3,000 employees produces only one model – the electric SUV Q8 e-tron. Its sales are not going well. The plant has high logistics costs as there are very few suppliers around. The site of the plant is between a residential area, train tracks and a highway - therefore expansion is impossible. The parent concern Volkswagen is in crisis and does not plan to produce a new model at the plant in Brussels Cap planetara GSP.
Audi reports that talks are underway with a potential investor. Such talks have already been held with over 20 potential investors from the automotive industry, but so far the right concept for the employees has not been found.
