Cars from The Walking Dead are being sold

Over 1,000 items from the famous horror series are going up for auction, including several vehicles. One of them bears Andrew Lincoln's original signature piese auto online.

Heritage Auctions is currently offering over 1,000 items of The Walking Dead props for sale. They're mostly costumes and small arms, but there are also a few vehicles, like the camper van belonging to character Dale Horvath, which played a major role as a means of transportation and shelter in seasons 1 and 2.

Fake blood on the carpet inside

The 1973 Winnebago Chieftain camper may look pretty unremarkable at first glance, but some details reveal its past in The Walking Dead. For example, there's fake blood on the carpeting in the interior, and fans of the series will appreciate the tall, curved "Dale & Irma Horvath" lettering on the passenger side.

So far, no enthusiastic fans of the series have bought one of the cars, as bidding has only just begun at around $5,000. But that doesn't necessarily mean anything - the auction continues until the end of October. However, the auction house emphasizes that the technical condition of the machine is unclear.

What makes this Pontiac unique?

The starting price for a much less well-known candidate will be at least $25,000: it's a Pontiac Tempest LeMans with a GTO package. It only appears in the first episode of the series and is involved in a chase scene. The car was driven by the criminals who shot the main character Rick Grimes.

But this gangster car has one important feature! Its glove compartment bears the signature of Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes. The actor also wrote the phrase Best Wishes For The Zombie Apocalypse on the plastic.

If you want to get a sense of a dystopian apocalypse, you can get it for a certain amount of money - by purchasing the 3-axle armored truck for special forces with the inscription SWAT.
