Dacia Hipster - the new electric car for the masses (VIDEO)
Dacia has been pursuing its individual goal resolutely and successfully for two decades: namely, to allow the greatest possible number of people easy access to quality and essential modern mobility piese auto online.

But what will be truly essential tomorrow? How can the market for electric mobility be truly accessible to as many people as possible?
Dacia's engineers and designers decided to start from a blank slate? This is the challenge that Dacia is taking on, to reinvent a car that is accessible to the masses.
Romain Gauvin, Head of Modern and Exterior Design at Dacia, said: “This is certainly the most specific Dacia project I have ever worked on. It has the same social impact as the Logan model 20 years ago. The project is dedicated to inventing a new type of car that does not yet exist today.”
When designing the Dacia Hipster concept, the Dacia teams began their work by first studying the real needs of consumers and observing how they use their cars in real life. In other words, from the very beginning, they focused on the essentials. The idea of the electric Dacia Hipster concept is to be a companion in everyday life: agile, practical, manoeuvrable and economical.
Stéphanie Chiron, Advanced Products Manager at Dacia, said: “The Dacia Hipster concept has everything you could want in a car for everyday life, with dimensions of just 3 metres long, 1.53 metres high and 1.55 metres wide: four comfortable seats and a boot that can be adjusted from 70 to 500 litres.”
The Dacia Hipster Concept offers surprisingly generous interior space in an ultra-compact format, an undoubtedly unique proposition not currently present on the automotive market.
The mass of the car is also revolutionary in the Dacia Hipster concept. It is 20% lower than that of the Spring. This is the result of Dacia's overall intelligent and ecological approach: a lower mass of the car means using fewer raw materials and consuming less energy in production. At the same time, this also means a lower mass that has to be moved, and therefore the car will need less electrical energy to move.
From the outset, the ambition for the Dacia Hipster Concept has been to halve the carbon footprint over the entire life cycle of the vehicle compared to the best electric cars currently available.
The Dacia Hipster concept is at home in city traffic, on the open road or in the countryside. The car is designed for everyday life, offering enough range for regular trips with just two charges per week.
