IN THE NEW ISSUE OF AUTO BILD 7-8/2025 YOU WILL FIND:
WELCOME TO THE ERA OF ARTIFICAL CAR piese auto online.

IF YOU ARE READING THESE LINES, YOU PROBABLY FALL INTO THE CATEGORY OF “PETROLEUM IN THEIR BLOOD” – you love the smell of fuel, you love manual gear shifting, you don’t mind getting your hands dirty in oil, you don’t want ESP and ABS to interfere with you – and you appreciate everything good about the old automotive world. But I won’t blame you if you have a high opinion of the direction the world on wheels is heading. More comfortable, quieter, with more space – electric cars definitely have many advantages for the mass consumer. And modern assistance systems in some situations can save the life of even the best driver – not least because they don’t lose concentration and don’t get tired after a long journey. All of this is wonderful – but not the attempts of the automotive industry to “lie” to us about what is happening in the car in an attempt to drive away our nostalgia for what will soon be irretrievably lost. Simulation of short gears in a 1-speed transmission of an electric car, artificial sounds of an internal combustion engine, “crackling” of the exhaust from a speaker… We don’t need all of this – just as we don’t need artificial aromas that give us a false sense of wine. If we are going to go only on electricity, let’s appreciate the silent operation of the drive and the smooth, whirling linear acceleration. Let’s leave the rest to computer games. At least we will get by without virtual reality behind the wheel.

New engines for Renault Symbioz: full hybrid becomes more powerful, mild hybrid is the base option
JUST ONE YEAR LATER RENAULT has restructured the range of drives of the compact SUV Symbioz (in practice a longer version of the Captur, both models are based on the CMF-B platform). Although the range is a bit exaggerated: so far, only the full hybrid E-Tech 145 with 143 hp was offered for the model, which is now discontinued. It will be replaced by a more powerful hybrid version, the Full Hybrid E-Tech 160 with 158 hp. Otherwise, there are no changes to the already strange automatic transmission Multi-Mode, and of course the dynamic characteristics are slightly better. Instead of the 1.6-liter gasoline engine as before, the part of the internal combustion engine drive is taken over by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder unit. To its 109 hp. (1.6: 94 hp) now 49 hp are added again. from the electric machine. This results in a system output of 158 hp and a maximum system torque of 265 Nm – 15 more than before. This is quite impressive for a sprint of 9.1 seconds to 100 km/h and a maximum of 180 km/h. A significant improvement compared to the predecessor, which needed 10.6 seconds to sprint to 100 km/h and reached a maximum of 170 km/h.
MICRA, HOW MUCH YOU'VE GROWED!
Nissan Micra is back! Meanwhile, the sixth generation launches with retro elements and electric drivetrain
MICRA IS ONE OF THE LONGEST-STANDING small cars on the market: the model has been available since 1982. It is one of those cars whose generations differ greatly from each other. This also applies to the new generation that Nissan is launching after three years without Micra (its predecessor was discontinued in 2022). The new model is in tune with current trends. Its shape is more imposing than before, it also has a bit of a retro feel and – this should come as no surprise to anyone – the car is electric. And this is not déjà vu. In terms of its shape, the new electric Nissan resembles the new Renault 5. After all, the new Micra is the product of the alliance of the two brands.
PEACE AND ONLY PEACE
After just two years, the Austral gets a completely new front, approaching the vision of the flagship Rafale
NOTHING TO DO WITH “THE REVOLUTION EATS ITS CHILDREN!” Although in Paris everything is currently pointing to a “renovation” and the French have focused solely on the R5, its practical brother R4 and the revival of the Twingo as an affordable electric car for the people, they still do not abandon their current model range on the street. On the contrary: a year earlier than usual, the Austral received an update. After almost 2 years, the French are updating the model, and fundamentally. 12 Since instead of a fresh make-up, they now offer a completely new “face” with a new mask, having a more pronounced front hood profile and different lights, close to those of the flagship Rafale, the model’s motto is more nobility. Otherwise, when the Austral passes by you, you will definitely recognize it. The rear of the model has also been thoroughly redesigned. While the designers were allowed to go wild to the fullest, the engineers seem to have shown some restraint – at least at first glance.
