Like in a movie: a tram was hijacked and crashed into an underpass at a key intersection in Sofia

A plot like from a movie unfolded in the early hours of today. Around 5 am, the driver of a tram on line 22 got off at a stop to buy coffee. At that moment, according to eyewitnesses and executives from "Stolichne Elektrotransport", young people rushed into the cabin and pushed the rail vehicle. It failed to take the turn towards "Sitnyakovo" Boulevard, derailed and crashed into the underpass from "Tsar Ivan Asen" Street. Seven cars were smashed in the stunt - but fortunately there were no injuries. The police are still reviewing video camera recordings to determine exactly what happened piese auto online.
