Nikola Tsolov won his first victory in Formula 2
Nikola Tsolov recorded the first Bulgarian victory in Formula 2 after an excellent drive in the main race of the 2026 season at the Albert Park circuit in Australia. At the very beginning of the race, the Bulgarian Lion, who started fifth, managed to overtake his teammate Noel Leon and Dino Beganovic, who started from pole position. Thus, in the first meters, Tsolov lined up behind Martinius Stenshorn and Alex Dunn. However, at the beginning of the second lap, they collided and crashed, and Tsolov took the lead, and the safety car came out on the track. After the restart, Nikola managed to defend his leadership, which he did not lose even after the pit stop magazin de piese auto online.

Later in the race, Beganovic's car broke down, forcing another safety car deployment. Nicola Varone then made a mandatory pit stop and took the lead after a mix-up by Tsolov, who failed to overtake the safety car quickly enough. Tsolov, however, regained the lead after a counterattack and eventually finished 1.6 seconds ahead of Varone, with Lauren van Hoepen in third.
Thus, the Bulgarian Lion is already the leader in the overall championship standings after the first round, with 25 points.
