Strong qualification for Nikola Tsolov in Australia
Nikola Tsolov set the fifth fastest time in qualifying for the first start of the 2026 Formula 2 season in Melbourne (Australia). The Bulgarian lion from the Campos Racing team achieved a time of 1:29.123 min – 0.428 sec behind the fastest – Swede Dino Beganovic. The fight for first place was fought literally until the last seconds, which made qualifying extremely tense. In the end, however, Beganovic prevailed, and after him in second and third position were the two Rodin Motorsport drivers Martinius Sternshorn (Norway) and Alexander Dunn (Ireland). Nikola's teammate Noel Leon (Mexico) set the fourth fastest time. The sprint in Australia started at 05:10 on Saturday (March 7), and the main race – at 02:25 on Sunday piese auto online.
