The Ministry of Interior is buying another 980 cars and 285 motorcycles
The Ministry of Interior will acquire nearly 1,000 new vehicles in the near future. The department has launched an auction worth a total of 126.5 million leva, divided into three parts piese auto online.

The shockingly high amounts are justified to some extent because they include the cost not only of the vehicles, but also of the necessary additional equipment - signaling equipment, a radio station, the relevant distinctive signs and reflective elements, additional electrical equipment and hardware and software sets for programming TETRA radio terminals.
205 of the motorcycles, according to the terms of the public procurement, were to be “universal purpose” and 80 – “sports-road”. For 2-wheeled machines, the tender offers must also include installed special equipment (generator, additional 12V battery, seat, panniers, safety elements, signal lights, loudspeaker and siren, USB power supply) and identification marks (inscriptions, emblems and reflective elements).
We recall that last year the Ministry of Interior acquired a total of 462 new cars, drawing serious criticism especially for the 35 BMW M340i xDrive Tourings. In addition to them, the uniformed officers also received 200 Volkswagen Golf Variant 2.0 TSIs, etc. For the needs of the "Border Police", 160 Defenders and 52 Renault Traffic vans were purchased.
