This is what Verstappen's new car will look like - now with a Ford drivetrain

Red Bull Racing is the first Formula 1 team to reveal its livery for next season. The new design was revealed in Detroit – and not by chance: Ford is already the team's powertrain development partner. Max Verstappen and his new teammate Isaac Hajar presented the car.

In terms of appearance, Red Bull follows its own story: with a lot of blue, with a bull on the body above the engine and with yellow accents. The novelty is the white base – combined with a glossy finish, which should give the iconic sun and bull logo more depth. The car is characterized by clean lines, bolder colors and a pattern running throughout the body; Red Bull speaks of more dynamics, more energy and a Look and Feel that will be consistent throughout the season.

Verstappen is happy with the new look of the RB22

Verstappen commented with a fire in his eyes: "I like the new livery, it really looks good and will definitely attract attention. The shine is cool, the look is quite retro, the blue is very saturated. It reminds me of the beginning of my Formula 1 career. But I don't know if the mechanics won't be unhappy if it takes them a lot of time to keep the car clean. But it will look extremely stylish."

The most important novelty is the Ford logo. After ending its partnership with Honda, Red Bull Powertrains now relies on the support of the American manufacturer Ford for the development of the drive. In honor of the late founder of the company, the so-called Powerunit is named DM01 – a tribute to Dietrich Mateschitz (who died at the age of 78 in 2022).

Red Bull is not revealing any further details yet. The team will reveal the technical details at the first test in late January in Barcelona. The new cars will hit the track there for the first time on January 26 - albeit behind closed doors.

One thing is for sure: this Red Bull is sure to attract attention.
