Toyota to launch six new electric vehicles in Europe within a year
At Toyota’s annual product strategy event last week, a team of global and European executives unveiled a range of new Toyota and Lexus production and concept vehicles. The annual event, attended by 350 media outlets, showcased the company’s evolving strategy to meet changing customer needs and its transition to carbon neutrality suport trapez vaico pret.

Multi-pronged product strategy aimed at carbon neutrality
The essence of Toyota’s multi-pronged approach to carbon neutrality is to provide customers with a choice of sustainable solutions, regardless of where they live, their individual environment and circumstances. This strategy includes a full range of powertrains, from flex-fuel hybrids (for fuels that include varying proportions of ethanol and gasoline) in South America to new fuel cell sedans in Japan. In Europe, where sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are among the highest in the world, Toyota is introducing three new production models, with three more to be added by 2026. This approach of adapting to customer needs and offering a choice of solutions has helped Toyota secure record European sales of 1.217 million vehicles in 2024.
On this occasion, Simon Humphreys, Chief Brand Officer and Board Member of Toyota Motor Corporation, noted the following: “At the heart of our philosophy is that all customers should be able to make the right choices for themselves. Providing choice and opportunity is at the heart of our drive to create ever better cars and applies to everything we do – and that includes the path to sustainability.”
The new Toyota C-HR+ expands Toyota’s presence in the electric vehicle range. Built on the dedicated e-TNGA platform, it will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. In keeping with the Toyota C-HR’s heritage, it retains the bold and striking coupe-style body styling, and is tuned to create an inspiring driving experience for customers.
Along with the recently introduced Urban Cruiser, Toyota is introducing three new BEV models in the B, C and D-SUV segments, which are the mainstay of the European car market. This will bring the total number of BEV battery electric models for Toyota and Lexus in Europe to 14 by 2026.
Yoshihiro Nakata, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe, noted: “77% of the Toyota vehicles we sell in Europe are made in Europe,” and added how important “strong partnerships with other companies in the supply chain and suppliers across Europe are that support us in this large-scale manufacturing activity. This extensive manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem helps to ensure sustainable employment for families and communities across Europe.”
Lexus to introduce three new battery electric vehicles Lexus is taking the lead in battery electric vehicles with the introduction of three new BEV models over the next 12 months. In 2024, Lexus global sales grew to more than 851,000 vehicles, with sales in Europe increasing by 20% year-on-year to a record 88,184. The new Lexus RZ, which carries all the kaizen elements of the bZ4X, is the first of three new Lexus BEVs to debut this year.
