Xiaomi SU7 Ultra breaks the Nordschleife electric car record!
Xiaomi made a splash on the Nurburgring track: the electric sedan SU7 Ultra set a lap time of 7:04.957 minutes, breaking the record for a production electric car magazin de piese auto online.

The Nurburgring has a new record holder among electric cars. With a time of 7:04.957 minutes, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra took the lead among production electric cars on the Nordschleife. This puts the sedan ahead of the previous leader, the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT (7:07.55 minutes), as well as the Rimac Nevera (7:05.298 minutes).
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: Over 1500 HP of three electric motors
The SU7 Ultra is powered by three electric motors – one at the front and two at the rear – with a total output of 1,548 hp. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds (without power assistance, a measurement method used in drag racing). Its top speed is over 350 km/h. Energy is provided by CATL’s Qilin 2.0 LFP battery, and the system operates at 800 volts for particularly fast charging.
Belgian Vincent Radermecker made the record lap on April 1, 2025. The electric car was equipped with the optional track package, but according to TÜV Rheinland, it was in production condition.
Confirmation according to strict specifications
All necessary requirements were met for the lap time to be recognized: calibrated timing, TÜV-certified serial status, and notarized documentation. This makes the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra officially the fastest production electric car to lap the Nordschleife.
The classification is not easy: although the SU7 Ultra falls into the “electric luxury sedan” category, its performance and lap times are not inferior to those of real supercars.
Xiaomi enters Gran Turismo 7
After the Nordschleife record comes the entry into the virtual world of motorsport: in the future, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will also compete in the racing simulation Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation. The visual appearance, handling and technical specifications should be realized as realistically as possible. For Xiaomi, this is the first appearance in a console game – and at the same time the next step towards greater popularity of the brand worldwide.
