Xiaomi SU7 will have an SUV sibling: YU7
The similarity between the two models is obvious at first glance. The SU7 is not yet available in Europe and Xiaomi's plans for the YU7 are not yet fully known. The SUV is scheduled to be launched in China in June 2025 piese auto online.

It will probably be cheaper than the Tesla Model Y
The SU7 sedan starts in China at the equivalent of 57,000 BGN, making it cheaper than competitors like the Tesla Model 3 (80,000 BGN). The YU7 will likely be a bit more expensive, but the SUV probably won't exceed the price of the Tesla Model Y facelift (90,000 BGN).
The (almost) exact analogue of the sedan
The design of the YU7 is unmistakably adapted to the appearance of the SU7 – especially at the front: with large ventilation holes in the front bumper, a characteristic hood that is higher on the sides, and of course the brand's typical headlights, whose shape Xiaomi calls a "water drop".
Unlike the SU7, the YU7 has electrically retractable door handles, which can also be controlled via the infotainment system. Otherwise, the SUV and sedan look very similar from the side – except for the proportions. This also applies to the rear design, only the YU7’s light graphics are different and larger.
Speaking of styling: it's not just the retractable door handles that are intended to improve aerodynamics. The specially shaped hood, large air vents, and the design of the 19-inch wheels are also aerodynamically designed. The SUV is expected to have a drag coefficient of 0.245.
At launch, Xiaomi will offer the YU7 in three colors: "Emerald Green", "Titanium Silver", and "Lava Orange".
