The interior of the Korean SUV impresses with plenty of space, comfort, and high-quality materials – you won’t find any hard plastic here, but let’s not forget that this is the top model. The interior also features neon green accents: the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel has a bright green marking at 12 o'clock. The GT button, which allows access to full power with one press, also glows in this color. The gray-black sports seats, upholstered in vegan leather and Alcantara, also feature contrasting stitching and a narrow center stripe.

Kia offers a variety of accessories for the EV9. One item stands out, though: you can add a pedalboard as an option. It features the Kia logo and comes as a complete set with a pump, carbon and nylon pedals, and a wheeled backpack.

The rest of the accessories on offer are not so special. There is an aluminum roof rack that can carry up to 75 kilograms and serves as a base for the also available roof box, as well as a removable towbar.

This is only interesting for those who want to use the full trailer load of up to 2.5 tons. A bicycle rack can also be mounted on the towbar. For convenience, such are also offered by Kia, including the foldable model “i21” for two bicycles.

There's plenty of room in the large electric SUV

There is plenty of space behind the driver and front passenger, even for tall people. Even in the third row of seats, passengers over 1.80 meters tall can travel comfortably. Customers have a choice of seat configurations: in addition to the seven-seater version, two different six-seater configurations can be ordered.

One focuses on maximum comfort, with the individual rear seats also being electrically adjustable. Alternatively, Kia also offers a version with swivel seats. Children can be positioned at a 90-degree angle and the seats can then be turned forwards – or backwards.

All variants have ventilated and heated seats – Kia wants to exude a certain luxury with the EV9. And the list of driver assistance systems is quite long – there’s active lane-keeping assist, blind-spot assist and adaptive cruise control on board.
