"Traffic police" chased the trucks

156 violations of the Road Traffic Act were identified during a one-week operation to control trucks and buses in the Montana district alone. The operation is in connection with the membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in the European Network of Traffic Police Services - ROADPOL magazin de piese auto online.

The specialized police operation to control trucks and buses was carried out from February 9 to 15. The actions were carried out throughout Europe in all member countries of the European Network of Road Police Services - ROADPOL.

Teams from the Traffic Police and the Regional Department of Automobile Administration participated in the inspections in Montana District. During the inspection activities, 146 trucks and 17 buses were inspected.

The 156 violations of the Road Traffic Act were committed only by drivers of freight vehicles. 103 were speeding violations, 45 were other violations of the Road Traffic Act. One driver of a freight vehicle was banned from driving, a driver was sanctioned for driving after drinking alcohol, two drivers were fined for technical malfunction of the vehicle, 2 for irregular vehicle documents and 3 for irregular driver documents. 2 criminal offenses were revealed during the operation.
Roadpol's calendar includes several inspections of trucks and buses per year, in each season. The reason for this is the serious damage that occurs after road accidents involving such vehicles.
