French tow truck driver drags car 1.5 km along German highway
After a dispute over the loss of right of way, a semi-trailer truck driver hits and drags a small Seat on the highwa piese auto online.

The date is August 13, the time is 10.25. On the German A64 motorway, a tractor-trailer and a blue Seat Ibiza are driving side by side in adjacent lanes towards Luxembourg. Due to roadworks and a narrowing of the road, the 35-year-old driver of the heavy goods vehicle is forced to go to the left, as his lane ends.
At that moment, the truck driver “meets” the 55-year-old man behind the wheel of the Ibiza. According to police, the two clashed during the changeover – but in the end, the tractor pulls up behind the car. And everything seems to be fine. But it only seems…
After passing through the narrow section, the truck again goes into the right lane, but moves parallel to the Seat, whose driver decides to overtake the vehicle and slam on the brakes in front of it. Why - it is not clear. "The two vehicles collide. After the collision, the passenger car turns and stands in front of the truck with its left side," said a police spokesman, quoted by BILD.
Like in a movie: the tow truck drags the car along the highway
After the accident, however, the truck driver did not stop – he dragged the car, crossing the border (which is only de facto, without a checkpoint), and dragged it for 1.5 km into the interior of Luxembourg to the turnoff for Wasserbillig. Miraculously, the accident passed without any injuries. However, there was serious material damage to the Seat (for 9,000 euros) – and it is no longer driveable, with at least one of its tires flat.
The case was taken up by police from both Luxembourg and Germany – who did not sit idly by and quickly confiscated the licenses of both drivers. Investigations are currently underway for intentional creation of a precondition for an accident and coercion.
