20 years ago, a Bulgarian made his debut in Formula 3

Vladimir Arabadzhiev from Victoria Racing will compete on world tracks

The debut before a home audience of the Bulgarian team Victoria Racing and the pilot Vladimir Arabadzhiev took place at the Kempinski-Zografski Hotel.

They will participate in the Italian Formula 3 Championship, which is one of the strongest national championships. It consists of 8 rounds and this year started on March 19 at the Monza circuit near Milan.

Vladimir Arabadzhiev got into karting for the first time at the Lauta track in Plovdiv only 3 years ago. Since then, he decided to participate in our national championship. Most pilots go through several classes and then go to the top one – 125 cc with 6 gears, and Vlado starts straight from there. In 2005, he became the national champion with a Birel chassis and a TM engine, and only bad luck prevented him from taking

title in the Eastern European karting zone. Between formula tests, he actively trains with karting in Bulgaria and Italy, where he is the official driver of the chassis manufacturer PCR.

The team's main sponsors are Victoria Group and the Crystal Sugar Factory. The team has a base in Central Italy, strategically positioned at an optimal distance from the test and racing tracks, two Dallara F 304 cars - one for testing and one for racing, all necessary equipment for comprehensive servicing of the cars and implementation of the racing program during the season, as well as all necessary contracts with technical partners, suppliers and organizers.

The manager of Victoria Racing is the Croatian Mario Lazic, father of the test driver and second mechanic Nenad Lazic. Nenad is a two-time Central European karting champion and vice-champion of Italy in Formula Renault. Professor Giordano Franceschini from the University of Perugia is the main technical expert in the team. He worked in Formula 1 with the Koloni team (1988-1992), from 1992 to 1996 he was a chassis designer for Formula 3 – FTS. He managed to produce 5 different chassis, then in 1998 he worked with a Formula Nissan team, in 2000 with a FZ team, and since 2002 with a Formula Renault team. Franceschini is responsible for all aspects of the car's setup, control of data from the telemetry system, as well as the strategy of Victoria Racing in each test or start. The chief mechanic is Armando Pollini, under whom Giancarlo Fisichella grew up as a karting driver.
