Double success for Dacia Sandriders: Sébastien Loeb triumphs in Morocco, Edouard Boulanger is world champion among navigators
Dacia Sandriders had a double reason to celebrate at the finale of Rally Morocco – a race full of twists and turns that marked the first anniversary of the team's debut in it piese auto online.

Sébastien Loeb and co-driver Edouard Boulanger delivered an outstanding performance and repeated the Dacia Sandriders' victory in the Rally Morocco from 12 months ago after five days of gruelling racing in the Sahara Desert.
At the same time, Edouard Boulanger won the FIA World Co-Chairman title for the second consecutive year.
The 46-year-old Frenchman started the season alongside Nasser Al-Attiyah, winning the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge together in February before joining Sebastien Loeb for Rally Raid Portugal last month.
Partnering with Loeb, Boulanger finished third in the penultimate round of the season before winning Rally Morocco to secure the coveted FIA title. Loeb’s triumph, achieved after taking the lead on Wednesday’s third stage, is his second in the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) and third overall for Dacia Sandriders. The team finished the 2025 season with two race wins and second place in the W2RC manufacturers’ standings.
Rally Morocco was a disappointing one for Nasser Al-Attiyah, who lost the FIA drivers' title by nine points. The Qatari driver looked set to win a fourth consecutive title after finishing the first part of the final special stage in third place, alongside his co-driver Fabian Lurquin. A one-hour penalty imposed for inadvertently missing the final checkpoint dropped him to second place, while Lurquin finished fourth in the co-drivers' standings.
Meanwhile, Spaniards Cristina Gutierrez and Pablo Moreno continued to gain momentum in the third Dacia Sandrider, finishing in an excellent ninth place. This was only their fourth appearance in the top W2RC Ultimate category.
Considered the ideal dress rehearsal for the Dakar Rally, the Rally in Morocco allows Dacia Sandriders to approach the next race (from January 3 to 17 in Saudi Arabia) with confidence and determination.
