Leapmotor launches its first sports electric car in Europe

Leapmotor has officially unveiled the B05 in Europe – its first sports electric car. The B05 introduces an expressive approach to electric mobility for customers who value individuality and modern technology. The European premiere coincides with the model’s first public appearance in Poland, during the Poznan Motor Show piese auto online.

The Leapmotor B05 combines sporty elegance with everyday comfort, providing a convincing balance between performance and practicality. The coupé-inspired proportions, wide stance and distinctive frameless doors create a strong and athletic appearance, while the rear-wheel drive ensures engaging driving dynamics. With a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 6.7 seconds, the B05 is designed to offer true driving pleasure.

Measuring 4.430m long and with a class-leading width of 1.880m, the model exudes stability and sporty character from the very first glance. The distinctive LED blade headlights, the full-length rear light strip, the sculpted body lines and the 19-inch aerodynamic “Swift-Wing” alloy wheels complete the dynamic exterior identity.

The B05 is powered by a highly efficient electric system with 218 hp (160 kW) and 240 Nm of torque. Rear-wheel drive, optimal 50:50 weight distribution and a suspension developed in collaboration with Stellantis experts provide the ideal balance between comfort and precise handling. Fast acceleration and stable roadholding define the overall driving experience.

Extended range and freedom with fast charging

The Leapmotor B05 is designed to go longer distances without a problem. Two battery options are available – 56.2 kWh with a range of up to 401 km (WLTP) and ProMax 67.1 kWh with a range of up to 482 km (WLTP). Thanks to advanced Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) technology, the battery becomes a structural element of the car, increasing volumetric energy density by 13%, reducing weight and improving torsional rigidity, while providing more space in the cabin. The ability to fast-charge with direct current at a power of 174 kW allows charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 17 minutes, reducing downtime on longer trips.

Sophisticated interior with premium comfort

The driver-focused interior features a 14.6-inch central 2.5K touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, providing intuitive and easy access to driving information and multimedia. High-quality materials and soft-touch surfaces reinforce the premium feel. Heated front seats and an ergonomic design make everyday use even more comfortable.

Space, light and everyday functionality

Thanks to the intelligent layout of components enabled by Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) technology, the B05 offers generous interior space for both front and rear passengers. The rear seats recline up to 27 degrees for increased comfort on long journeys, and the class-leading width creates a sense of spaciousness throughout the interior. A panoramic roof with electric blind floods the cabin with natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. Practicality is ensured by 25 storage compartments distributed throughout the cabin, as well as a luggage space with a volume of up to 1,250 liters with the rear seats folded down.

A fully connected digital experience

The digital experience is powered by Leap OS 4.0 Plus and supported by a comprehensive suite of connected services accessible through the Leapmotor app. Users can remotely control key vehicle functions including locking, climate control, charging schedules and battery preheating, as well as receive real-time information on the vehicle’s status and location. The digital key and advanced security features provide convenience, connectivity and peace of mind both on the road and at home.
