Dacia Hipster Concept breaks stereotypes about electric mobility
Dacia Hipster Concept offers four real seats and a trunk in a car just three meters lon piese auto online.

The Dacia Hipster Concept offers pure 100% electric mobility, designed for everyday needs and aiming to halve the carbon footprint compared to current electric cars.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, the automotive market has evolved – particularly under the influence of regulations and electrification – towards cars that are bigger, heavier, more complex than ever before… and therefore more expensive than ever before.
In this environment that pushes for “more and more”, Dacia has been pursuing its goal resolutely and successfully for two decades: to allow as many people as possible access to essential mobility.
But what will be truly essential tomorrow? How can we make the electric mobility market accessible to as many people as possible? What if we started with a blank slate? This is the challenge that Dacia is taking on: to reinvent the CAR for people.
Romain Gauvin, Head of Conceptual and Exterior Design at Dacia: “This is the most characteristically Dacia project I have ever worked on. It has the same social impact as Logan did 20 years ago. And it involves inventing something that doesn’t exist today.”
DACIA HIPSTER CONCEPT: THE POPULAR CAR OF TOMORROW
When designing the Dacia Hipster Concept, Dacia teams started with the real needs of consumers and how they use their cars in real life. In short, they focused on what was most essential.
Dacia Hipster Concept is a companion in everyday life: agile, practical and economical.
Stephanie Chiron, Product Manager "Conceptual Products" at Dacia:
"The Dacia Hipster Concept has everything you could want in an everyday car, measuring just 3 metres long, 1.53 metres high and 1.55 metres wide: four proper seats and a boot that can be adjusted from 70 to 500 litres."
Record-breaking performance: Dacia Hipster Concept offers true capacity in an ultra-compact format, a unique proposition not currently present on the market.
The Dacia Hipster Concept takes Dacia's approach to weight even further. It is 20% lighter than the Spring. This result is the result of Dacia's overall eco-smart approach: less weight means less raw materials and less energy used in production. This also means less weight to move, and therefore less energy consumed. The ambition for the Dacia Hipster Concept is to halve the carbon footprint over the entire life cycle of the car compared to the best electric cars currently available.
The Dacia Hipster Concept is at home in the city, on the outskirts or in the countryside. It is designed for everyday life, offering enough range for regular trips with two charges per week. Here too, the Dacia Hipster Concept responds to the real needs of customers. For example, in France, 94% of motorists drive less than 40 km per day.
With Spring, Dacia is the first manufacturer to make electric mobility accessible. With the Dacia Hipster Concept, Dacia wants to go even further, targeting a broad audience that currently cannot find anything suitable for their budget. The average price of new cars in Europe rose by 77% between 2010 and 2024, far outpacing household purchasing power.
SIMPLE AND DISTINCTIVE EXTERIOR DESIGN
In the history of the automotive industry, all the most successful popular cars have featured innovative designs.
Romain Govin, Head of Conceptual and Exterior Design at Dacia: "Our ambition in reinventing the real car for people was to create a distinctive and memorable design for it. A car that can be sketched with three strokes of a pencil."
The Dacia Hipster Concept stands out for its very simple and solid design: a block firmly supported by four wheels at all four corners. There is no overhang either front or rear.
This simplicity is reflected in the design of the front end, which is entirely horizontal and integrates elegant headlights that give the Dacia Hipster Concept a serious yet welcoming look.
At the rear, functionality is prioritized: The tailgate covers the entire width of the Dacia Hipster Concept and opens in two parts to provide ultra-practical access to the trunk.
True to its expertise and value for money, the Dacia Hipster Concept features an innovative rear light design. Located behind the tailgate glass, they do not require their own glass panel.
Adhering to this approach, the Dacia Hipster Concept is designed in a single body color and only three painted parts: the front of the car and the elements around the entrance of the side doors.
The robust design of the Dacia Hipster Concept is further emphasised by generous side protectors made of Starkle® – a partly recycled material created by Dacia engineers – and solid painted protective skins at the front and rear, in keeping with Dacia’s values of reliability and adventurous spirit.
The Dacia Hipster Concept is not like other cars. It gets straight to the point, and that's clear from the moment you first see it: the exterior door handle has been replaced with a strap that's lighter, cheaper... and just as practical.
BIGGER ON THE INSIDE THAN ON THE OUTSIDE
The interior of the Dacia Hipster Concept is optimized to offer exceptional space given its compact exterior dimensions.
The interior closely follows the cubic shapes of the body, especially the vertical glazing, to make the most of the available space. The glazed front of the roof provides light and contributes to the feeling of spaciousness. In order to reduce costs and weight, the side windows slide.
Four adults can sit comfortably in the Dacia Hipster Concept. The driver and passenger seating arrangement is identical to the Dacia Sandero, ensuring comfort and a safe view of the road. Access to the rear seats is facilitated by the wide door opening and the forward-tilting front passenger seat.
Dacia has paid particular attention to the design of the seats, to combine comfort and friendliness with weight and cost reduction. Their design is simplified with a visible frame combined with a particularly soft technical mesh fabric. The front seats are joined to form a “bench” seat, a simple feature that is another reference to the iconic popular cars of the past. Finally, the open design of the headrests again helps to optimize weight.
Designed for real life, the Dacia Hipster Concept is suitable for all everyday situations. Thanks to the folding rear seat, the boot capacity can vary from 70 litres with four passengers to 500 litres with two passengers.
For more comfort and safety, the dashboard integrates two airbags for the driver and passenger.
To meet the specific needs of everyone as precisely as possible, the interior of the Dacia Hipster Concept is initially prepared for the YouClip® system. Equipped with only the essentials as standard, the interior can be customized with the range of YouClip® accessories developed by Dacia. The eleven YouClip attachment points are located on the dashboard, door panels and inside the boot. They can accommodate various accessories such as cup holders, armrests, ceiling lights, etc.
Connectivity and digital technologies are now among the most essential features, facilitating daily use of the car, especially with the smartphone docking station, which follows the Dacia BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) philosophy. It allows seamless connectivity between smartphones and cars.
The smartphone even becomes a digital key to unlock and start the car. Once the driver is seated, the smartphone, located in the docking station, works as a multimedia screen and brings up the preferred navigation app.
It also serves as a car audio system, connected to a portable Bluetooth speaker compatible with YouClip.
From today, the Dacia Hipster Concept is among the models available in the Dacia AR app.
