FIA considering return of V10 engines to Formula 1
What all die-hard F1 fans have been dreaming about for years may not just be empty promises, but reality: the FIA is actually discussing the possibility of a return to V10 engines. In other words: the future of the most prestigious track championship could be much more pleasant to the ear. Currently, the cars are powered by 1.6-liter V6 turbo engines integrated into a hybrid system. This type of engine was introduced in 2014, and according to the new rules, the hybrid MGU-H module will be eliminated planetara skf pret stanga si dreapta.

These machines are extremely expensive – and considerably quieter than the roaring naturally aspirated V10s that drivers last used on the grid in 2006. Current FIA president Mohammed bin Sulayem hinted at the possibility of a V10 return in an Instagram post about the future of the sport. The machines with the legendary configuration are being considered for the option of using sustainable fuel so as not to harm the environmental image of the sport. In addition, the discussions have suggested that the cheaper to develop V10s without electric assistance should be introduced after only two years. Another option was that the 2026 regulations should be valid for only three years instead of the originally planned five – and then the cars would have 10 “throats”.
However, according to unofficial information, many of the teams were not enthusiastic about this idea due to the large investments they had made in hybrid powertrains. For them, a sudden change in the rules could confuse the calculations - and despite the billions of investments they had made, suddenly a team with a much more limited budget could create a more competitive powertrain without an electric component.
